David Palmer is the Co-Founder and President of DC Construction Empire, bringing over 25 years of experience in custom homebuilding, site development, and luxury residential construction. Widely respected in the industry, David has led the execution of countless high-end homes across Southern California, many of which have received awards for excellence in both design and construction. His deep construction knowledge, architectural sensitivity, and unwavering commitment to craftsmanship make him the driving force behind every build the firm takes on.
As President, David oversees all field operations, trade coordination, and construction strategy for DC Construction Empire. He works closely with architects, designers, and homeowners to ensure every detail—from foundation to finish—meets the highest standard. With a reputation for excellence, David's leadership ensures that each project not only reflects superior build quality but becomes a timeless, well-crafted space tailored to the client's lifestyle.

Candice Skinner is the Co-Founder and CEO of DC Construction Empire, a premier residential construction firm specializing in luxury custom homes and high-end renovations throughout Southern California. With a career built on experience working for some of America's top home builders—including several featured on the Fortune 500 list and recognized as the nation's leading semi-custom home builders—Candice developed a deep understanding of the construction process, client expectations, and design execution at the highest level.
Drawing from that experience, Candice and her husband and Co-Founder, David Palmer, recognized the opportunity to create a firm focused solely on full custom homebuilding—where every detail is client-driven and design possibilities are limitless.
As CEO, Candice works closely with every division of the firm, from pre-construction planning and accounting to quality control and on-site project management. Her commitment to precision and collaboration ensures that each phase of the build is executed with excellence.
With David bringing over 25 years of industry expertise, Candice and David have built DC Construction Empire into a firm where attention to detail, client experience, and craftsmanship come together to create standout homes with lasting value.
Meet Alex
- Chief Estimator & Preconstruction Manager
With precision, foresight, and a knack for turning numbers into project-ready reality, Alex serves as our Chief Estimator and Preconstruction Manager. He is the go-to expert for preparing cost estimates, bid proposals, and thorough scope analyses that keep our clients confident and our schedules tight. Alex also plays a critical role in developing budgets and guiding design decisions - long before the first tool hits the ground.
Outside of the office (or jobsite), you'll find Alex where the wild calls louder than spreadsheets - on a boat fishing, out on the range shooting or practicing archery, and cruising the open road on his motorcycle. His blend of technical skill and rugged passion brings balance to both our projects and our team culture.

Meet Lana
- Lead Accountant & Administrative Office Manager
When it comes to precision, reliability, and operational flow, Lana is the heartbeat behind the scenes at DC CONSTRUCTION EMPIRE.
As our Lead Accountant and Administrative Office Manager, she handles everything from checks and balances to high-level budget oversight with sharp attention to detail. Lana brings a powerhouse resume with experience working under several Fortune 500 companies, making her an invaluable asset to our leadership team.
She oversees all accounting functions, ensures vendor payments and payroll are prompt and
precise, manages internal records and compliance, and keeps our entire office ecosystem running smoothly. Whether she is coordinating vendor contracts or implementing new administrative systems, Lana is the organizational glue that keeps us moving.
But Lana is not all spreadsheets and scheduling. On weekends you will catch her practicing hot
yoga, kayaking coastal trails, cooking gourmet meals, or hosting game nights with friends.
Her balance of professionalism and personable charm adds depth to our team culture, and her fierce efficiency ensures we stay on point no matter how busy things get. We are proud to have Lana leading our administrative and accounting efforts with style, skill, and heart.
